Not the friendliest of excursions though and definitely not if you're wanting a quiet trip - staff all very loud and balshy. Don't bother paying for this if you have no intention to get in the water, as otherwise you will be wasting your money. Overall good fun, a great opportunity to see a natural wonder. Fire dancer was interesting and made for good photos, but the woman in the microphone presenting it all was loud and annoying. It didn't feel very personal, they just kind of hurried you out and took you back and then expected tips. Not the friendliest Jamaicans by a long shot. Not for people who get claustrophobic or travel sick. They had to get fold-out chairs in the aisle of the minibus and it just felt unsafe. Transfers are the same our bus picked up from three hotels, including ours, and they had clearly overbooked the trip. Even if you chose not to swim, you will end up soaked, as everyone is clambering over each other. They clearly care more about how much money they can make rather than the safety and comfort of guests. Just bite the bullet and get in the water, you only live once and you'll be disappointed in what you see if you stay on the boat! CONS: -Boat absolutely packed. No fish or anything on the bottom to harm you. I got in the water and was so amazed, you can see the individual plankton clinging to you like blue glitter. You really can't see it if you stay in the boat. Two in our group did not go in the water and said that it was disappointing if you stay in the boat. The luminescence was absolutely STUNNING, but only if you went in the water. This was good for my partner who gets travel sick and won't go on boats. PROS: -Very smooth boat ride as you aren't actually on the sea. Great for older families, couples, groups of friends. Probably wouldn't recommend with kids as you'll be swimming in a lake in the dark. Just an overview first - we went last week as a group of four adults.
